Our Story

Still Rooted, Still Growing

We've been at this a long time. Between us, we've spent decades gardening, fishing off a 12-foot Livingston boat and a pontoon, and hunting deer every fall — the kind of life that doesn't really have a finish line, just seasons.

Along the way we raised two children, and the thing we cared about most wasn't any one skill or trophy — it was raising them to be good stewards of this land and this country. They're grown now, out living their own lives. These days, our family is four dogs: three rat terriers and Tina, a fourteen-year-old terrier who has never once doubted she's the one in charge.

We still grow what we always have — comfrey, an insulin plant, bamboo along the fence line — and we still get out on the water and into the woods every chance we get. Rooted and Woven grew out of that whole life, not just one piece of it: the garden and the homestead, the years of homeschooling and raising kids with land under their feet, and the dogs who've been underfoot through all of it.

That's why you'll find blankets built around herbalist gardens, hunting and fishing, family heritage, and rat terriers stealing the show right alongside homeschool and homestead designs — because for us, it was never really separate. Our t-shirts are the easy way to bring a little of that home with you; the blankets are the ones we hope get handed down.
